Using the originally created tools as starting point, we will price out project scope based on time since new job inception. Job Search Accountability: This option will help kick-start your job search and keep you focused. It consists of two parts – 1. Two 30-minute sessions to organize and formulate your job search. 2. 360 Interview Prep & Career Feedback: Many jobseekers start their transition without a lot of experience or skills in interviewing for jobs. They can be unfocused or unprepared about how to talk through specific achievements in their career narrative or coherently highlight what they will bring to their next position. Steps in the Process:
1. Initial Contact: Connect with us by phone and email to discuss your current goals and answer any process questions, both yours and ours, in order to get oriented and focused as quickly as possible. We will provide a price quote for the entire project and send over our worksheet – the Q-form. Once you commit to move forward, we will send a PayPal invoice or you may use a credit card for full payment at the project start.
2. Content Acquisition: Fill out and return the Q-Form worksheet with any details not covered in your current version. This will help you organize and pull together the pieces of your career narrative. This part of the process is good practice for thinking through the details about key job functions and achievements. You’ll then have them ready at the tip of your mind for the rigors of the interview. That is why we do not do interviews per se – there is too much potential for misunderstanding and misinterpretation. The time taken to work through the Q-form is more preparation for explaining your career narrative. We will review and get clarification on any questions before getting the project into the queue.
3. Draft Creation: We will produce the first draft of any document by triangulating between your old version, worksheet info and our accumulated general knowledge gathered from years of working with clients in your line of work. The draft will then be emailed to you in four business days max for review, changes in details and corrections for accuracy.
4. Draft Iterations: You will review the draft and send it back with any changes, corrections or questions for revision and turnaround in less than one day. Typically we go through 2-3 iterations before we are done. We want to be sure you recognize yourself, understand the new approach and like the “final fit”.
5. Search Relaunch: Once the “makeover” in complete, you are ready to get the new document “out of the garage” and back onto the job search “highway!” Only this time you will have more confidence, focus and enthusiasm because your career narrative and potential will be clearer and more accessible. One word of advice – the resume and other tools will only work as they are supposed to if you use them properly – as part of a comprehensive job search campaign.
